Very interesting photo album filled with photos from the "official" maiden voyage of the Wilhelm Gustloff.

The newly-minted cruise ship left Hamburg on April 21, 1938 and returned to the same port over two weeks later.  On the way to Madeira, the Gustloff stopped in Lisbon.

Along with the usual sightseeing material, there are fantastic photographs of on-deck activity and uniformed officers of the ship's command, KdF and members of the Nazi leadership.

Measures approximately 25cm x 18cm.

Souvenir photo pack by Carl Müller & Sohn (Hamburg).  High quality glossy "beauty shots" of the Gustloff - both exterior and interior views.

Photos are in a 7x9 cm format and package includes a list describing each photograph (numbers on the back of each photo allow matching with the list).

Purchased and assembled by a participant on one of the last-ever Gustloff cruises (#47 to the Norwegian fjords ending August 4th, 1939).

The passenger used the same brand of photo pack above, combined with a similar package of Norwegian snapshots to populate the photo album.  Contains 20 double sided pages (with slots) designed to fit 40 7x9cm photos.

Photo / Memories Album photoalbum.jpg (112782 bytes) Unused photo album believed to be purchased around the time of the launching of the Gustloff in May 1937.  Measures approximately 18.5 by 13.5 cm and contains 30 thick double-sided pages.

Bracelet1.jpg (32352 bytes)
Souvenir bracelet from the Wilhelm Gustloff obtained by a British citizen who stayed aboard the ship during a athletic youth rally prior to the outbreak of war.

The enameled naval flags spell out "W - I - L - H - G - U - S - T - L - O - F - F" and are capped off with a swastika flag.

Travel Sticker norwegenfahrt_sticker.jpg (91980 bytes) Most likely a sticker used to put on luggage as a souvenir or "proof" of participation in a Norwegian cruise aboard a KdF ship such as the Gustloff.
